Camping in a Van

Very comfortable and reliable car! Was in great condition internally and externally, which was a relief to not worry mechanical issues during a long road trip. Was spacious enough for all the belongings my family and I took on our trip to Yosemite. Loved the painting on the van too, as they are all unique; my rental was called “Guppy”! The staff was very approachable and professional. Renting the vehicle was hassle free and reserved expeditiously. Would recommend to anyone looking to rent a vehicle for long road trips.

Fun campervans, reasonable prices, easy pick up/drop off, helpful support for any problems & fantastic, responsive customer service - all you need for adventures big & small. We loved our SoCal experience with Escape and will definitely use them again. Highly recommended!

We rented a van (Santa Cruz) for a couple's road trip in California at the end of September. The van is confortable, pretty, easy and pleasant to drive but the storage is small and the interior finishes are disappointing. There was no roof window, no sun visor on the windshield and the blackout curtains on the sides let a lot of light through. In addition, our stove in broke down during the trip, which put us in difficulty while we were in the national parks. Customer service was quite responsive by message but once we arrived, no compassion for the difficulties encountered, barely a $50 discount on our excess miles. We expected a slightly larger commercial gesture given the difficulties encountered.

We loved every aspect of our experience in our Maverick campervan! We picked up in Salt Lake City, drove through Utah and visited several of the National Parks ( Capital Reef, Zion, Bryce), then went to Joshua Tree, CA and up the PCH. The convenience of the solar fridge, comfy bed, plenty of storage space, made for a wonderful escape for 2! We also got a kick out of the comments and stares.. our van was called The Smorgasbord.. great artwork of food all over it! It was the perfect size for finding awesome dispersed camping spots with tons of privacy and stunning views. The Escape staff that we dealt with, from booking online from Canada, to in-person at pick up and drop off, were super friendly, helpful and informative. Two thumbs up!!

Great customer service and a great van. No problems at all, ran smooth and comfortable to sleep in. It was great for 12 days and 2000+ miles. Would rent again!!
